Accompanist Ruth Kochera is a much sought-after pianist and accompanist with 30 years of experience. She holds a BFA from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where she worked with the choirs, the jazz ensemble, the opera & theater departments, and the Wind Ensemble under the direction of esteemed composer Dr. Jack Stamp.
Ruth is renowned for her versatility and the ease with which she collaborates with others, having accompanied hundreds of vocal and instrumental soloists, serving as music director for many musicals, and working with a number of professional and community organizations as pianist for everything from an incidental harp part in a band to large-scale solo performances.
One of Ruth's proudest and most notable accomplishments is her creation of a charity concert series that brings together a wide variety of the best Poconos musicians, all of whom donate their time and talent to put on a benefit concert for the Garden of Giving, a local non-profit garden that gives all proceeds to local food banks for neighbors in need.
